Libro de camas is a book that creates an autobiographical visual narrative through photographs and poetic texts. This work deals with themes around the non-home, inhabiting spaces that belong to others, the bed as a space where the conscious and the unconscious meet, and the traces that bodies leave in spaces.

It is composed of three booklets in chronological order: the first is about a period without a home (changing beds), the second about making a home and the third about leaving this bedroom (making it empty, erasing it from the space).

Paula Ábalos (1989) Santiago, Chile.

Artista visual y videasta. Trabaja principalmente con video-instalación, cine, animación y libros de artista, combinando lo documental con lo ficticio y lo poético.

Realizó un máster en Artes Mediales (clase Cine Expandido) en la Academia de Bellas Artes de Leipzig, Alemania (HGB).

Su trabajo se ha mostrado en diferentes exposiciones y festivales, como en la 18.VIDEONALE (Museo de Artes Visuales de Bonn), Hamburger Bahnhof (Berlín), Galería Concreta Matucana 100 (Santiago), BIENALSUR, y en el festival FIVA (Buenos Aires). En el 2020 recibió el premio Golden Cube en el 37.Kasseler Dokfest (Kassel) por su video instalación “Diarios de trabajos”.
