Alfabeto | Martín Gubbins

Book compose by the conversion of the alphabet letters in patterns by the repetition of each letter in a full page.

In Marcela Labraña`s words “ the difference with the first alphabets is that this one is completely useless. Significant in search of significance which is always fleeing away, its strong materiality makes one forget that they are letters which composed each interweaving. The Martin Gubbins alphabet frees writing from its farmacon condition, the remedy or prosthesis to remember, so ungrateful to the eyes of Plato. In these pages, Writing moves away from the alphabet and gets closer to the mantra, to the hieratic writing of the Egyptians scribes”
