Found Poetry (1988) is one of the works created by Guillermo Deisler in Halle, Germany.

This book is one of the first editions in which Deisler uses the Found Poetry procedure, composed by assembling different printed materials from books, advertisements, brochures, ephemeral material, among others. Deisler resignifies these materials by giving them a sequence.

About the artist

Guillermo Deisler (1940 – 1995) / Santiago, Chile – Halle, Alemania

Prominent visual poet, editor, academic, and printmaker. Between 1963 and 1973, he developed and directed Ediciones Mimbre’s outstanding publishing activities.

Exiled in 1973, he lived and developed his work in Bulgaria and Germany until his death in 1995, leaving behind a large body of artistic work, including a significant number of artist’s books and collaborative mail art projects, including the UNI/vers(;) series.
