Produkt (1992) is one of the works produced by Guillermo Deisler in Halle, Germany.

Following the Found Poetry procedure, he assembled a print run of 15 copies of original and reproduced printed materials, which refer to instructions, advertisements and product news. It is interesting how this work is inserted in the type of production of the artist after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the German Reunification, showing a context of changes in the disappeared GDR.

Although in each copy of the print run there are materials that are repeated, each copy has elements that make it a unique work, such as its cover and some assembled printed materials that do not appear in other copies.

Guillermo Deisler (1940 – 1995) / Santiago, Chile – Halle, Alemania

Prominent visual poet, editor, academic, and printmaker. Between 1963 and 1973, he developed and directed Ediciones Mimbre’s outstanding publishing activities.

Exiled in 1973, he lived and developed his work in Bulgaria and Germany until his death in 1995, leaving behind a large body of artistic work, including a significant number of artist’s books and collaborative mail art projects, including the UNI/vers(;) series.
