Anoche soñamos … | Naranja Publicaciones

To celebrate its tenth anniversary, Naranja Publicaciones presents a commemorative edition in the form of a metal box, limited to 50 copies. Each box contains 34 miniature books, prints, and editorial gestures that encapsulate a decade of experimentation and artist’s book production.

This edition began to take shape during the micro-exhibition When I write Tokyo, my hands think miniatures, presented at Utrecht bookstore (Tokyo) and at Asia Art Archive in America (New York), driven by the desire to facilitate the itinerancy of the exhibition Cuando escribo obras, mis manos piensan libros, originally held at the Centro Cultural de España in Santiago in 2023..

The box is also a reference and homage to Marcel Duchamp’s Boîte-en-valise, that portable edition gathering between 68 and 80 reproductions of his sculptures and paintings, conceived as a miniature museum. “Everything important that I have done can be put into a little suitcase”, Duchamp once said. In that same spirit, this edition seeks to encapsulate the first ten years of Naranja Publicaciones in an intimate, portable gesture—acting as an expansive curatorial device that invites the reader to build conceptual connections between works of different authorships, formats, strategies, and themes.”
