Of Bridges & Borders Vol I & II Special Ai Weiwei | VV.AA

After a first publication published in 2009 and two exhibitions – in Buenos Aires (2011) and Valparaíso (2013) -, Of Bridges & Borders, vol. II, the new book, broadens the vision of the project, bringing together a wide range of authors who have been invited to share their ideas in relation to bridges and borders.

Anthropologists, philosophers, artists, researchers, sociologists, editors, graphic designers and architects are thus gathered in this new volume.

Between singular stories and complex investigations, the essays deal with new technologies, contemporary art, migrations and city developments, construction innovations, freedom of expression and utopian urbanism.

The two Of Bridges & Borders volumes gathered in a special case made with fragments of the work ‘To Pablo’ by Ai Weiwei, work that was made by the Chinese artist in Valparaíso, Chile, in 2013.
