from her(e) to now(here) is an artist’s book by Pablo Vindel (Spain, 1990) of 50 English and 50 Spanish limited and numbered copies, collecting images showing chemtrails (or stelae), taken with smartphones over the last 18 months, from March 2017 to October 2018. Each copy was designed and hand-bound by Sebastián Barrante and Sebastián Arancibia of Naranja Publicaciones and printed in single-color risography at La Mano Ediciones studio in Santiago, Chile. The typeface used was ‘Biblioteca’ for the covers, ‘Cormorant Garamond’ for the interior texts, and ‘Din Pro’ for the numbering of the images. The covers were screen-printed by hand on a ‘wedgewood’ blue cotton cloth from Pimlico, London. The book was first presented by the artist at the Atlantic Center for the Arts (Florida), during January 2019. In February 2019, from her(e) to now(here) was presented by Naranja at the prestigious CODEX VII Artist Book Biennial in San Francisco, USA.

Pablo Vindel (Spain, 1990) is a visual artist and writer. He has participated in solo exhibitions, group shows and fairs of international renown: Orlando Museum of Art (Orlando, next April), CODEX Book Fair (San Francisco, 2019), Atlantic Center for the Arts (New Smyrna Beach, 2019), Lab36 | Galeria SENDA (Barcelona, 2018), The Overlook Place (Chicago, 2018), Art Rooms Fair (London, 2018), Kruger Gallery (Chicago, 2017), M. F. Husain Gallery (New Delhi, 2016), EXPO Chicago (2015), Bonnafont Gallery (San Francisco, 2014), Diego Rivera Gallery | San Francisco Art Institute (2013) and École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris (2012).

Pablo lives and works in and from Valencia, Spain, where he co-directs ‘the liminal’ – a living organism for the deepening of art; a space that houses a unique collection of artist books in Spain and doubles as a research center, production laboratory and artist residency for local and global artists.

Likewise, the artist has completed residencies in Turkey, India, Spain and the United States, the last one at Creative Glass Center of America (2017) through a prestigious grant for artistic production in glass.
