In this section, we invite a person related to the field of artists’ publications to answer seven questions of a questionnaire with images.

The main rule is that each question must be answered only with photographs or images, without captions or descriptions.

For version #18, we invited Jae Kyung Kim, curator and director of einBuch.haus, to answer the questionnaire. Let’s see the results.

An image that defines your work

A treasured object in your home

Show us what the sky looks like as you answer this questionnaire

An exhibition that moved you

An essential book in your library

An artwork to which you constantly come back

A spoiler of what you are currently working on

Jae Kyung Kim (*1984, Busan) is the founding director and curator of einBuch.haus (est. 2018, Berlin), a project gallery dedicated to artists’ books, and co-founder of the publishing house ENKR (est. 2020, Seoul/Berlin). Through these platforms, she realizes exhibitions and artists’ book projects that merge conceptual installation with publication.

Kim curates exhibitions and works on the translation and publication of artists’ books as an extension of her artistic practice. She approaches books as art objects, considering their potential to exist not only as publications but also as performances or exhibitions. Her work aims to challenge and expand the understanding of books as a medium of artistic expression.
