In this section, we invite a person related to the field of artists’ publications to answer seven questions of a questionnaire with images.

The main rule is that each question must be answered only with photographs or images, without captions or descriptions.

For version #17 we invited Peruvian artist, designer and editor Michael Prado to answer the questionnaire. Let’s see the results.

Michael Prado (Lima, 1988) studied anthropology and graphic design. In 2012, he founded La Crema, an independent publishing house that explores publishing as an artistic practice. Among his publications are Fuego en el bosque (Fire in the Forest, 2012), ADN (DNA, 2014), Un afiche impreso 500 veces a full color (2017), Cuatro, treinta y tres,, (2017), Publishing Manifesto n.º 1 (2019), and Bodisatva en el centro de Lima (2022). His work has been exhibited collectively in Lima, Santiago, Tucson, Barcelona, Bardejov, Toyama, among others. He is currently the creative director of Formato Público, a studio focused on designing graphic systems for cultural initiatives. He directs the haiku workshop Caracol de invierno in the Soto Zen Peru community. His speech read at the award ceremony for the seventh National Literature Prize 2023 has just been published by the publisher Personaje Secundario.
