Das Wort | Guillermo Deisler

Das Wort (The Word) is a book by Guillermo Deisler made in a leporello format which contains xylographies that span through the length of the accordion. In an intricate and not very legible way, the continuity of this xylographies, composed by superimposed characters, is interrupted by a page of the bible that has been stuck to the book. This page is part of the Gospel of Luke, especifically the passage in which Zacharias – father of John The Baptist- confirms that the child will be named John and will not inherit his own name. From this confirmation, Zacarías recovers his speech through a miracle.
